Pavlovsk Palace and Parks guided tour
A visit to Pavlovsk is the perfect continuation to your guided tour to Pushkin. The proximity of these two towns (only 5 km from one another) is an excellent reason to visit them in one day.
Pavlovsk is a town located only 5 kilometers from Pushkin (Tsarskoye Selo).
Pavlovsk was named in honor of Emperor Paul I, who ruled for only five years (1796-1801) and made his summer residence a permanent one. The exquisite Pavlovsk Palace is an example of work performed by foreign architects (C. Cameron, C. Rossi, and V. Brenna) that represent elegant solutions used in design and construction, embodied in the colonnades, stucco molding, and frescoes that form this ensemble, as well as in the interior of the palace.
You can also take a walk through the Pavlovsk Park, designed in the traditional English style of landscape gardens, and recognized as a perfect example of artistic landscaping.
